3 Things I Want to Accomplish Before 2016

I can't believe 2015 is almost over - seriouslythere are 3 months left in the year. Someone told me this the other day and I was legitimately shook. The other night I was sitting with a heating pad on my back, wine in one hand, and Talenti in the other pondering these questions whilst watching Survivor: Why do the years do by so fast nowadays? Or is it just because I am getting older? Is this an all-time high or all time low? What have I even done this year? Is this 25 Y.O.?  

But amidst my reflecting, I realized there are still a few things I want to do before the year is over. I truly feel like I've done everything I wanted to do 2015 but also nothing at the same time - does that make sense? Of course it doesn't. I need a end-of-the-year bucket list type thing so I can be somewhat accountable - like a REAL ADULT. So here's a list of things I want to accomplish before 2016 comes knocking on my door. 

  1. Do a Mystery Tour: This may or may not be done this year due to time constraints, but my friend Stephen and I really want to do a Mystery Tour. What is a Mystery Tour you ask? Basically everyone piles into the car and just drives. DASSIT. You somewhat have an idea of what you're going to do but then again, not really - kind of like that plastic bag metaphor Katy Perry was talking about. And if one person wants to stop somewhere, you have to stop at the place of choice. That's really the only rule. See a cool empty field you want to stop and take a picture of? You got it. Want to stop at a sketchy casino/truckstop/gas station hybrid? Sure. I absolutely hate making plans and anything goes on a Mystery Tour. Sooooo that's why love the idea and I want to do one. 
  2. Blog More: I can honestly say I am proud that I kept up with this blog for pretty much a year! But..my blogging has been pretty sporadic as of lately and that needs to change ASAP. I know quality posts take time to come up with and write about, but, I also don't want to go days, weeks, MONTHS without a single post either! I want to find a happy medium with the two and become more consistent with this space. 
  3. Start Getting Healthy...NOW: Everyone's New Year's resolution every year is to exercise more and get healthy. But, why wait on something you can do NOW? I always find myself in an awkward period at this time of the year.  Why wait until the beginning of next year to ~get fit~ when it honestly is something I can start on now....in this moment....as I text? Well....I know why #THANKSGIVING But tbh, it doesn't even have to be extreme health things either: drinking more water, eating less sugar, and upping my veggie intake are all things I can literally do right now with little to no effort at all. Baby steps, y'all. It takes 21 days to make something a habit so just imagine if I start now - by the beginning of 2016 this will be a piece of cake!  

I'm sure I can go on and on about other things but these are just the main one's (and the most exciting ones) I want to accomplish! Since I said I'm going to be blogging more I'm sure I'll post about any other developments as the year comes to a close. Stay tuned!
