I was going to go this long post about all of Monday night’s Met Ball Gala looks. Oh, how I wanted to SO BAD. I needed to have a moment to discuss Rihanna’s epic Guo Pei cape or SJP’s INSANE headpiece or Kim Kardashian’s nearly nude feather train gown. PICTURES GALORE. But after reading this post and this post from The Sits Girls, I decided that probably was not a good idea. So I’m going to do something very different…
By now you’ve probably seen Beyonce’s Met Ball outfit. It’s literally everywhere. You know the one. The multicolored flesh tone sheer Givenchy number. Oh yes Mother Bey, I was slain. But besides that, her outfit (or lack of, #Shade) made me realize that summer is right around the corner, y all. And I am not ready for it. At all. Every year I make a resolution that by summertime I’m going to be fine, fresh, fierce and have it on lock. And every year, I fail. t starts off promising – waking up and exercising in the cold during January and February. But somewhere between Mardi Gras and genuinely HATING exercising, it gradually comes to screeching halt by March.
Sooooooo, what happens now? The good thing about exercising is that every day is a brand new day. Sure it’s better to have more good days than bad days, but you just have to take each day one day at a time. Many stores I frequent, including Forever21 and Old Navy, have fashionable and affordable activewear lines and websites like SkinnyMS.com provide tons recipes and workout routines as well. There are TONS of boards on Pinterest devoted to healthy eating and exercise and Youtube channels like Blogilates to get started. Wanting to live a fit lifestyle has always been a goal of mine. And with summer right around the corner, it’s time to really crack down and get into shape!
